How does the Charging Gateway process Offline CDRs and deliver them to the Billing System?


💡Basic Concepts:
🍄The Charging Gateway (CG) receives raw charging data records (CDRs) from upstream network elements (NEs).
Original CDRs: Raw charging data records from upstream NEs.
Final CDRs >> First copy and second copy
First copy: Stored on CG for CDR query and browsing.
Second copy: Sent to the Billing System (BS).
💰  To optimize CDR processing utilization, you can enable/disable SCDR and SGW local CDR  based on requirements

✂️ CDR Cutoff Mechanism (Charging Thresholds):
Charging thresholds include:
🧺 Time threshold
🧺 Volume threshold

🧺 Maximum number of containers in a CDR
🧺 Maximum number of IP address changes (MME/SGSN/S-GW/ePDG)
